Can you tell us about the Sagamore Hotel and its evolution as an art hotel?
The Sagamore Hotel, often referred to as “The Art Hotel,” has been a cultural landmark in Miami Beach for over two decades. We’ve continually evolved to reflect the intersection of contemporary art, design, and community engagement. From curated exhibitions to artist residencies, Sagamore has remained committed to pushing creative boundaries and serving as a platform for bold, thought-provoking art.
Tell us about your collaboration with BitBasel over the past four years?
Our partnership with BitBasel has been nothing short of transformative. Over the past four years, we’ve worked together with Scott Spiegel, Scarlett Arana, Jorge Cortes & Antonio Verselli to bridge the traditional art world with Web3 culture, providing a home for digital artists, collectors, and technologists to come together. BitBasel brings credibility, vision, and deep community ties, and together we’ve created something that’s truly unique for Art Week.
What distinguishes the BitBasel event from other art and technology events?
BitBasel isn't just a tech showcase—it’s a grassroots movement that celebrates culture, innovation, and inclusion. The event stands out by spotlighting emerging voices in digital art and championing diverse creators. It’s intimate yet impactful, with experiences curated to inspire, educate, and connect people across disciplines.

How does the Sagamore hotel merge art and technology in its exhibits and presentations and what role is NFT’s in this year's event?
At BitBasel, we transform the Sagamore into a living canvas for digital experimentation. How do you see the event evolving in the coming years?
We see this partnership growing into a year-round platform for innovation. Looking ahead, we plan to deepen our role as a hub for digital art in the region—hosting pop-ups, artist residencies, and tech incubator events. We believe this convergence of art and tech isn’t a trend—it’s the future—and we want to be at the forefront of shaping it. BitBasel’s vision is long-term. We’re building a year-round cultural tech hub at the Sagamore, with plans for a permanent gallery space, rotating pop-up studios, and artist residencies. Our goal is to not only innovate during Art Week, but to foster ongoing dialogue and experimentation. As we grow globally—think Art Basel Hong Kong or Dubai—our hope is to anchor our creative lab right here in Miami Beach.
