Please tell Art December Miami a little about yourself.

I am a developer, a scientist and an artist. I hold an MBA, an MA and a Ph.D. from MIT, Harvard and CGU Peter Drucker School of Management. I founded a Charter Management Organization that grew to 16 schools in post‑Katrina New Orleans and have scaled several other businesses.

Can you share the inspiration behind your current artwork featured in BitBasel's Fingerprints of Humanity exhibition at the Sagamore Hotel?

The Collection: A view space of the human experience and the most pivotal conversations.

The collection was curated to depict form and convention and then breaks the rules; weaving a story of oneness and presenting a time capsule for future life; which will include bionic humans, the merging of languages, and other intelligent life—Gumbo! The pieces are assemblage, collage and architectural design; drawing on my experience's as a real-estate developer, and visual artist.  The write ups on each piece at can be found at www.pagblack.shop

Can you explain how your role as Founder and CEO of EcoTech Visions influences your creative work and any synergies you find between your company’s mission and your artistic expression?

Every time I look up at the surrounding lights I think of my Grandmother, Mamie Gibson and her sister, my great aunt Evelyn Gaston. They worked on the Manhattan Project that led to the discovery and harnessing of atomic energy.  My roots derive from female scientists who believe and prove innovators solve the world’s problems.  As Black women scientists in the 1930’s and 40’s, I can only imagine the horrific daily pressures my grandmother and great aunt faced. Though I have accomplished a few things in my life, I still have a huge legacy that I intend to step into.
EcoTech, my art and my research are me using my gifts to honor and continue the propulsion of my ancestor’s commitment to better humanity through disruption.

Do you integrate sustainable practices into your artistic process, and what challenges have you faced in marrying art with Eco-friendly methods?

My art is assemblages and incorporated trash to treasure and a breath of materials to communicate massages of sustainability into the artistic process.

Does your art aim to communicate any historic important awareness with your art?

Yes it is a view of earth from space the finger prints of human experience documented along with a road map for a sustainable future.
